In obstetrics you learn very quickly that medicine is never only clinical. A woman in labour remembers who held her hand as clearly as she remembers the outcome. That lesson shapes how we run this hospital.
My responsibility as Medical Director is to make sure that excellent care is the predictable result of our systems, not the happy accident of a good day. Protocols, checklists, audits, hand-hygiene compliance, antibiotic stewardship, mortality reviews — these are not bureaucracy. They are how a hospital keeps its promises.
Alongside that, we invest continuously in our nurses and junior doctors. They are the people at the bedside at three in the morning, and their skill is the truest measure of ASTROMEDICS.
